Good question!
I buyed that plant 3 year ago, and the semi aquatic method is the only setup thats make my plant thrive.

Hmm. Its just sitting in my dew tray and is doing great. Maybe ill try a dif method where there in more water on some leaf cuttings im pretty sure r taking

If your genlisea grow nicely, you have found the right way Do you have a picture? In my setup the plants are often submerged under water for days.

Today i broke my g.aurea flower stalk by accident I was very happy about that flower, only the 2nd since i grow that genus. I guest i will have to wait another year for the next one... After my helis's flowers, that was the flower i wanted the most. I didnt have the chance to see it fully open

I only have hispidula, which is a nice reliable grower.

Very sorry for your loss. But look on the bright side - the plant will be stronger without the flower stalk and will bloom better next time :-)
