Thanks Devon. Its not as extensive as some of the others here, but was expensive and continues to be expensive to maintain. I can't wait for winter man, and I hope it comes early. I can't keep loosing plants every summer to the heat.

Yeah...its annoying. All the year round effort, the money you put in goes down the drain in a couple of months.

It sucks eh? It makes the effort of making a cooling system worth it, although it just adds to the frustration when things die haha

well..my electricity bill is going to be off the chart this couple of months. I have been running the AC non stop and all it does is keep temps from going into 85-90 during day and keeps tank at 65 at night.

My AC only runs for 1 minutes intervals 4-6 times an hour, depending on how hot it is outside. Day temps never go above 25c. they fluctuate from 21-25, and @ 25 the AC comes on and cools the tank down. At night it runs at about the same duration and intervals but i get temps of 12-14c. the rest of the time the AC isnt on at all or using any power. Saves tons on the hydro bill

I got a new 42 watt CFL and a CFL fixture (total 14$ + 20$). It puts out a lot of light. I am trying to put it on the side of the tank. Makes it pretty bright. Its interesting though, when I use my camera, it is interesting to notice that the amount of light coming is decreasing, the ISO is going up on the camera. I might sell my T5 and this time get two 150 - 200watt CFL, one for each tank.
