Just planted a pile of delphiniums, some neat new coleus cultivars and a couple of vines - Rhodochiton atrosanguineum plus Ipomoea alba. Next weekend it's time to get the tropical bulbs into their pots - Voodoo lilies and Alocasia. I'm also going to order a hardy banana from Garden Import, and given the milder climate I've been thinking of some Gunnera in a big pot that I can bring inside. I love the huge leaves on it.

What Arum's did you plant? I have a thing for semi hardy Arum's, can't go wrong with a good Arisaema.

I have Sauromatum venosum, and lots of them, plus there's a piece of European wild ginger and a Canadian Jack in the Pulpit somewhere in the perennial beds. If you know of a good source for cool arum bulbs, Id be interested to know it.

The Japanese jack in the pulpits are big and reliable for our winters.

Sauromatum venosum is a pretty cool one but turns into a weed eh? I'm sure you've seen that haha If you want Arum's visit www.thimblefarms.com/They have all their Arum's under the Bulb section, you have to know the Genus your looking for. I've been to their nursery and it is insane, Every surface along the edge of their nursery was covered in dormant Bulb's, deff cool. They have the true Arisaema sikokianum for sale, I think I'll be picking one up this year.

That sounds about right haha
If your ever interested in getting stuff from Fraser Thimble Farms just let me know, I love to visit there and if stuff is dormant I'm sure I can buy it, pack and ship it for cheaper then buying right from them. Plus it will give me an excuse to go to their island and visit haha

With the way this spring is going I should have planted my seeds in December. The magnolia has almost done blooming and I think we'll have irises in early May.
Maybe I should order some palm trees for the patio?
