Hey all, I got some pepper seeds from the forum here. I know I'm planting very early but I'm trying a few experiments. I want to grow a bonsai habanero, keep a P-38 (maiden describes this plant earlier in this thread) as a house plant, I also have douglah and bhutlah seedlings. When they get bigger I'm going to try and fuse the stems together to make one very hot plant. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thx, I've actually been looking through this site already. One of the things that lured me to trying a bonsai with a chilli plant is the fact that it doesn't take 10 years lol. Plus I like hot peppers

Went to pollinate this 7Pot Douglah flower yesterday, but instead was surprised to find it was already swelling into a fair sized pod. Usually the flowers's petals are long gone at this stage of the game, but first time growing the Douglah also. dvg

Just harvested 3 peppers from Maiden's p-38 pepper plant! It's grown from seed, about a year old now.

I'll tell you that P-38 is a resilliant plant. mine is currently on the back deck with 20+ peppers on it and many flowers. It had a rough start though. My cat ate the poor seedling down to a stick twice and my toddler uprooted it once. It has survived and is producing lots of fruit. Thanks Maiden for the seed!

These jalapeno pods have gotten more corked, which is caused by the pepper pod growing faster than the skin surrounding it - stretch marks essentially. This corking is a highly desired trait among some jalapeno enthusiasts, but it would likely be seen as little more than flaws, imperfections or even a sure sign of disease here in Canadian super markets. The pepper on the right above was sliced up and eaten raw, a bit at a time, and the corking on the skin is just cosmetic, not really noticeable in the eating of the pepper. dvg
