Figured I'd make my first post a good one. Found these sundews and pitchers on Hot lake, through some good luck. Some of the pitchers (not pictured here) were gigantic! Anyhow, I couldn't resist the urge to take one D. rotundifolia home. So far it's been fine for a week in a makeshift waterbottle terrarium, but it's time to move it to a more permanent home. As this is my first CP, any advice would be appreciated, but of course the forum is ripe with info... so I'm sure i could figure something out after some time and research. Anyhow, here are the photos. enjoy! I have more if anyone is interested...

Those are some pretty pics. Good luck with your plant, place it somewhere sunny and water often. Also, welcome to the forums! (don't know why you were downranked 2 times though, but no one really pays attention to the karma thing :/ )

Nice pics, and good luck with your D. rotundifolia. Welcome to the forum too. I am not an advocate of taking plants from the wild, though. It would have been better if you were able to get seeds.

Some really well taken shots. THanks for sharing. May I ask which kind of lens and DSLR do u use? I love the wide and precise DOF you have achieved.
