Cathy: Yup, it has been growing in deep Sphagnum moss so when it was taken out, the pitchers were very long so they flopped over. Since I kept the growth point above the media, the pitchers were shorter and more stockier for the growing season of 2009.

Oh man I don't know how I missed this before Regarding pot colour and temperature, one of our schools research projects was to determine the affects of pot colour and temperature. To make a long story short we did prove that white pots keep the root temperature cooler Just for next time

lol that is true, we were doing all the data collection in a greenhouse but I guess it really doesn't hurt to put it in a white pot eh? the worst its going to do is nothing lol I hope everything goes better this time, I'm not even thinking about starting on these guys yet

Looking good, and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg right? and it looks like you could fit another pot of them on the other side

You grew some from seeds ? I'm thinking that growing from seeds make them capable of getting more tolerant regarding the temperature than let's say buying some which were grown in the ideal conditions where the plant normally origins.
Do they get pickier as they grow ? I don't see why mine would grow now if later they don't tolerate it !
