Just some generalities so that everyone is on the same page. On a legal note, OCPS is NOT responsible for any miss dealings with group buys/sales/trades, ect! You enter in to dealings on your own risk. That being said, we try to keep this a safe and friendly place as possible, so here are a few things to keep in mind. For members joining a buy: Remember first and foremost that you are being allowed to join someone elses order, this is not a right, you are not entitled, it is a privilege, which the person putting on the order has the right to limit. They are not your slaves to push and order around. Unless otherwise stated, you should do your own legwork (requesting pictures, checking stock, asking questions to the nursery yourself). For leaders: You have an obligation to be upfront with the others of your order, no hidden charges or the like. If you wish to add a boxing fee for repacking or something like that, state it in your terms in the orriginal post so everyone knows. For everyone: Keep in mind that unexpected things can happen, remember there are some risks in ordering abroad, and some unexpected costs can arise also. Should duty or additional taxes come up, you are required to pay your share. There is no reason that a person doing the work for an order has to get stuck with surprise bill at the end. And in worst case scenario and the plants all arrive dead, remember that its the nursery that the claim must be made to, its not your group buy leader that needs to refund you (remember, they just lost their plants too). Good Growing! Sib
