Hi everybody, Jack at Hawaiian Botanicals has just released his Fall '09 Borneo Exotics landed pricelist, and now has it up on his website. If any of you are still interested in the Black truncata, there are still a few of them left. And if any of you are looking for anything else that Borneo Exotics has to offer, and may have missed out on that opportunity in the spring, now is the time to get your order in to Jack. The plants will be shipped to him in October, so there is still a little time left to get an order in with him, but his order will be placed with Borneo Exotics fairly soon. If you have any further questions, feel free to send Jack an email or give him a call. Here is a link to the new fall landed pricelist: www.hawaiianbotanicals.com/FallNep09.html dvg

I just got word from Jack and he wants to have the plants shipped out to him from Rob at BE on Oct 1 or Oct 2. He figures if all of the orders are in by the last week of September, he can have the plants shipped out quickly afterward. So probably the sooner the better getting your orders in, if you want something from BE this year.

Looks like I am going for it.... since my last dealer in Borneo got refused by CFIA standards...sigh.
I am thinking Nepenthes dubia Nepenthes eymae Nepenthes truncata 'Queen of Hearts' x 'King of Spades'
that should break the bank till after Christmas ;D
BTW is there a discount for OCPS folks? I have ordered a number of times from them but never mentioned my affiliation.

Hawaiian Botanicals honors the 10% OCPS discount. Just let them know you are an OCPS member when you are placing your order. Leny just check to confirm availabilty on the dubia. I know it was in very short supply when I ordered mine.

The pre-order for Borneo Exotics is closing on Friday Sept. 25, at the end of this work week. Jack is concerned about getting the order confirmed and sent out to him while the weather is still cooperating, and with getting the plants safely to those growers living in the cooler regions of the country.
After confirmation of the order from Hawaiian Botanicals, it takes a week for the plants to arrive from Borneo Exotics. So I am expecting we should see our plants in our homes by mid October, if everything goes according to plan.
So if any of you are still undecided about the black truncata or anything else from Borneo Exotics, you still have until Friday to confirm your order with Jack. At last count, there were a few black truncata available, of the twenty reserved and set aside for him by BE.

Ugh... How I wish i could get in with the Black truncata If only this had come at a earlier or later time, as my wistuba order, and Jacqulineae order won't allow me to get it UGH...this is driving me insane... I guess I'll have to wait for a future release....

If I didn't spend money on seeds, I could have gotten a black truncata..... I drooled over the list anyways until my jaw hit the floor when I saw the price for the N. jamban and the N. x trusmadiensis Those I'll have to enjoy the pics for a little while longer

Hey everyone, I just received word from Jack that the Borneo Exotics fall plant shipment left Sri Lanka yesterday and will be landing in Vancouver at 13:30h their time. Jack still has to clear the shipment, but I'm hoping that he'll be able to ship our plants out to us sometime this coming week. I know that I'm really looking forward to getting a few early Christmas presents, from Santa Jack. dvg
