Its called "Life coming full circle" Carl. . Good luck with it Wayne. You'll do fine. Have fun! Btw...as I have said before....I found for me that cephs HATE stagnant air. They are very prone to dying and rotting. Give them enough air around them. Give them good light. This is the key for any plants dude...remember: High humidity, low light, no air circulation is a perfect formula for fungal growth and root rot. DOn't water that pot more than once a week. heck....I just randomly water my tray plants once a week.....generally every friday. The pots dry out for the top few inches. I just judge based on how the polytrichum is looking. Its a very judgemental call....You;ll get a feel of it as you get more experience. Just remember.....don't loose sleep over it. Just have fun....water it occasionally.....and ignore it. The worst case scenario is that it dies. I'll send ya another one then.

BTW......MOST IMPORTANT NOTE WAYNE!!! QUARANTINE IT!!! DO not mix it with your other plants. Grow it separately. First confirm that there are no bugs after growing it for a while....then add it to your collection. Trust me!! its for your own good. I have had enough issues with pests. Don't make the same mistakes I did.
Although... I have realised that most of my bug problems might be due to bugs hitch hiking a ride on my shoes from me walking on the local flora at school (grass, weeds etc..)

HAHA I know Varun, I just find it funny too see things actually come around, ya know?? Trust me, the excitement of a new addition never goes away, I smile like a killer eveytime I go over my collection and remember where each plant came from and how stoked I was to add them, it's probably my fave aspect of the hobby, the whole gestalt of new plants, new friends and learning a little more every day- and seeing other folks experience the "OMG" rush will never get old

So true! I have gotten many plants from people here and I am like a kid at Christmas tearing open the box to get a look at the newest addition. My wife always laughs at me and says "it looks like all the other ones you have...."GREEN".

Yes, it is a definite plus to be able to share our treasured plants with others that enjoy and value them, here on the forum.

There's kinda nothing I like more than having people leave our house with new specimens- often saying "are you SURE it's okay??" haha, I know the bug-eyed "wow" look when I see it, cos I make it myself everytime I get the chance to see someone elses collection.
Thanks for making such a "happy" thread possible Varun!!

Its called "Life coming full circle" Carl. .Btw...as I have said before....I found for me that cephs HATE stagnant air. They are very prone to dying and rotting. Give them enough air around them. Give them good light. Understatement... I just lost my typical form ceph (came back from our daughter's ball tourney in Montreal and it was suddenly gone!) and I'm positive that this was the problem. Right now, I have everything in aquariums under lights and this is what is likely causing some of my plants to degrade. That will be changing very soon! Now I just need to order a couple of replacements.

Rick......I can make some leaf and pitcher cuttigs from Jay's ceph for ya. All the ones I gave away so far were different clones. I just have one last one left for myself apart from the one I put aside for D. I haven't found any difference yet...but perhaps I need to change my T8 light fixture tubes. I have been using them for over 2 yrs now and I am sure that its the reason for the waning color in my plants.
Anyways....yeah! let me know if you want me to make some cuttings for you.
