Thanks guys,
Tom - I found the HEPA at tridim (http://www.tridim.ca/) I got really lucky as they had this one in stock for years off a special order that was never picked up, so they sold it to me heavily discounted.
Got it for $90 + tax, 99.99% efficiency at 0.3 micron, and aluminum frame.
Everywhere else I was calling was around $140-180 for a 99.97% efficiency and wood frame, + 3 weeks delivery time.
Like I said- really really lucky!

Thank you ellsie, between this and my supplies, I should do well Well... not quite...- Microbiology is my major. I am taking a biochem course right now though (the text on the left) the course on the right I took last term. I haven't graduated just yet, but am on a co-op term with a growing media company (working in the lab) for my third consecutive term there. I go back to school in Sept. and graduate April 2010 (if everything goes as planned!) I go to Waterloo.

Hi TC guys. I saw a HEPA filter @ Home Depot with two prefilters (one extra) for $75, around 14" X 18". It had a nice strong border and is a replacement for a large home air filtering unit. Does it sound like a good deal?

I need a squirrel cage fan that can deliver ~ 200 CFM at 1-2" static pressure. I found one at ~$180. What should I be prepared to pay around for something like that?
I just bought a Tjernlund SC-1 speed control and M-6 in-line blower for $170 with shipping. It should fit the above specifications.

for any possible over heating problems i bought a blower with termal protection. Most of the blowers got that feature. hope that will help. Thanks
