The cool, wet conditions this summer in Toronto have been perfect for establishing my bog ( not so great for establishing my new gas BBQ). Although the D. anglica seedlings are getting pushed around a bit by all the water. The Darlingtonia are loving it so far.
We have a big wasp's nest in a tree in front of our house. I left it there to pollinate the tomatoes and to feed my sarr's. I checked yesterday and every pitcher is filled with dead wasps. During the day there are always dozens of wasps all over the sarr's.
Nice! My bog is fully awake, flowers should be opening any day and the pitchers on a few plants are fairly close to opening, and the temperate Pings have been active for a few weeks, whereas my D. filiformis has only started eating in the past few days I will take a pic today, weather permitting
