One of the links actually seems to suggest that CP's are immune to aluminum! Too much aluminum and CP's start to forget things.

Pulled this part off the wiki... seems bad for CP plants cause we grow in acidic sphagnum moss... hmmm might be time for an experiment with sphagnum growing with and with aluminium around? "Aluminium is primary among the factors that reduce plant growth on acid soils.[48][49][50] Although it is generally harmless to plant growth in pH-neutral soils, the concentration in acid soils of toxic Al3+ cations increases and disturbs root growth and function.[citation needed]
Wheat's adaptation to allow aluminium tolerance is such that the aluminium induces a release of organic compounds that bind to the harmful aluminium cations.[citation needed] Sorghum is believed to have the same tolerance mechanism. The first gene for aluminium tolerance has been identified in wheat. I talked to a Chemist friend of mine and was told that .4ppm of aluminum is so misicule that it won't even read on "most" TDS meters. Reason being is that it is less than 1ppm which is as low as TDS meters go. Basically I was told that so little of a TDS is considered "PURE". The aluminum from a dehumidifire is ionization from the aluminum and virtually nil. That is as close to 0 TDS as you could really get as it is considered a "dissolved solid" (Total dissoved solids/ TDS). Should be fine but thats just what I am going by. She is a top management chemist at "Chemfil" that runs the lab there.

A TDS reading of 0.4 PPM is almost pure water. However 1 cc of 0.4 PPM botulism toxin would kill a man.

so i went to home depot, $450!!!!! for a 2 stage! i think the internet is the only way to find a good price...this isn't as easy as i thought it would be, hmmm.

If you buy alot of bottled water, it won't take you long to justify $450. For me, it was a no brainer, because between my salt water tanks, my bog garden, my carnivorous plants and of course, our drinking water, we go through 20-40 gallons of the stuff per week.
