Khoas, that is just unbelievable, what is going on there: the heatwave and then the fires run amok. Is there a good chance of rain called for soon?
Stay safe mate.

In Victoria there has been some light rain but not nearly enough. Only good rain will stop the fires now. None is forecast for a least the next week. Another grim figure: It is estamited that over 1,000,000 native animals have died in the fires. I am really worry about two species. Leadbeater possum and the Gang gang cockatoo. Both have their main populations in the fire effected region.
Here in Adelaide we had only 1mm for the whole year, so far. We should had 20 - 30mm by now. My tanks are nearly empty.

Wow, I just read all of this... I feel so ignorant... This is horrible, I wish the best for you and everyone (including the animals) there. Stay safe.

Well the police have caught one arsehole who, it's believed, lit the Churchill fire which killed 21 people. Now they got keep him alive.
Good news finally, most of the fires are coming under control in Victoria and no towns are under threat. This is thanks to efforts of 4000 firefighter and improved weather, it cooler and less wind. Most of the firefighter are volunteers. Here in South Australia the cops have caught another ligthing a fire in a suburb of Adelaide. Thankfully the fires are under control. These people that light these fires do have serious mental heath issues.

Good to hear they caught that sicko, and hopefully no more will sprout up. It's also good to hear things are coming under control...
