A couple of months ago, I started some p. lusitanica from seed. plants are not overly big, individual leaves are maybe 5mm. I always thought that pings basically just sat there, apparenly I was wrong! They have high margins to begin with, but when I feed them they close around it Very reminicent of a toothless VFT! Got me wondering 2 things, will it continue to do that, and are there any other ping species that have that kind of movement? Thanks, Sib

I know a few of them have the leaf-edge-curling motion If I could grow the darn things I would be able to say more no doubt

well they have very upturned margins to begin with, they just snap shut, it's kinda neat really! You know, I have some X'Sethos' seed grown plant leaf cuttings that have started to take..... Sib

ooohhhh. maybe in a week or two we could set up that "angry bunny" trade..... I simply MUST have a Ping or two, if only to keep me half-satisfied while the fruitless Ceph-quest continues..... EDIT- just went to the CP photofinder to look at "sethos" and noticed there's links to "animation and video of pings in 'action'" check it out!! www.humboldt.edu/~rrz7001/Pinguicula.html(my crummy connection precludes me from actually checking it out, so I apologize if this is of no help )

LOL, if you think you have a crummy connection, you haven't seen my Country Dial up!!! Maybe I'll watch it at jess's house! There appears to be at least 2 plantletts per leaf(mind you I only did 2). Also this is grown from selfed seed, so not a true sethos. Thanks, Sib
