Hi all,
I managed to get my hands on a sterile nepenthes inside a TC flask. I wanted to know what are the steps to dividing it.
Is it as simple as taking it out , cutting it up into small segments each with a leaf or two, and replanting into new media? Or is a light sterilization required?
Would 50% MS Media be sufficient to replant it? Or would BAP or other chemicals be needed?
The two neps I managed to get my hands on are macfarlanei and lavicola. (going to practice on the macfarlanei before I try and rip the lavicola apart...)

As long as you stay in your sterile area, you wont need to sterilize it again if it comes from a flask. You should have some multiplying/rooting hormone in your replate flasks in order to either propagate it furthermore or rooting it in order to deflask it. I'm not sure i have an hormone ratio to give you though...
Good luck with it!
