Ya for some reason I can't get vft seed to do very well. I have some that are 2x older and 2x smaller. For me this is the cure.

I guess I am happy that I am able to germinate the VFT seeds so far. There traps are like spotted red...some have few cilia, some have more but finer. I really can't wait till these become atleast a yr old so that I can see if there are any variations. I know though that there is a very low probability of striking on a new clone ..but u never know.

thanks sdeering. The only thing I should be concerned is that the plants are sprawling over one another....there are also fungus gnats clearly in the pot since I potted them as seeds. The plants still seem growing fine. I cannot change media now so I am going to stay with this.....its been 2 months since fungus gnats + VFT seeds and the plants came through....germinated and are growing...so I guess the damage wasn't too much. I rather leave them alone than shock them and kill them inprocess of repotting.

I wouldn't worry about repotting. Mine come up in clumps and I move them all over the place to space them out. I use a very fine iris forceps with no ill-effects that I can see. I do the same with the drosera seedlings. I'll get some pictures when they are bigger.

I actually find it much easier to move seedlings around then young plants, mind you, most of that for me is with pings and drosera. Seams like it doesn't matter how level I get the soil ahead fo time, or how carful I am when seeding I always get a clump of seedlings somewhere, so as soon as I see the first or second true leaf (ususally once it think all the seed that is gonna germinate has) I just pluck a wee bit of dirt and the seedling out and move it round, never seams to affect them, and I've done it with things such as byblis also. Thanks, Sib
BTW, NICE flytraps stephen!

actually that was how I moved a couple which were actually off the edge of the soil in the pot. But..I am afraid to touch anything in the center because they seem to be growing well for now....red traps and all....I don't want to disturb those cuties.
