If you want I can give a cutting of my ventrata. However, I don't know how to make a SAFE cutting which doesn't make an impact on the plant. if someone can show me a tutorial on how and where to cut.... I can do it and donate it.

Might be able to get a cutting off my huge N.miranda Bro, if you need it- we'll figure it out when we hook up. If my "Judith Finn" was a little more impressive I'd have one of them too- nothin fancy but if you think the N.miranda is cutting-worthy I'd be glad to help ya out there

Awesome Varun, thanks for offering!! I was talking with Jay yesterday and decided I should bump this up (maybe even a "Sticky" could be utilized, but I won't be so bold as to do that myself ) A little "clarification" on this "mission", since it isn't explained quite as well as I think it should be. Jay has put a LOT of effort into making CPs and Orchids more prominent at the Niagar Falls public greenhouses. When this is all worked out, there wil be a public Nep/Orchid house at the Falls. As getting money allocated for this is next to impossible, Jay has workerd with what he has on hand. The beauty of this project is two-fold. First, CPs get a prominent place at the Falls, which is free for anyone to go and look at- might be a great thing to bring awareness to our hobby (and should you visit the Falls, you can be proud that the awesome looking plants therein were actually yours at one point) The second pretty large bonus is that the conditions for growing them are pretty much unmatched in the setup that is being used. This means that the plants will grow like MAD. That means they'd need frequent trimming etc. Which, in the end, works out to more plants in the long-ish run. It is, in some ways, the ULTIMATE back-up plan, a collection that will remain possibly longer than any of us here. So basically any spare material that anyone can send would be a "gift" to the hobby itself. I just wanted to make the concept crystal clear- Jay was worried that he hadn't articulated it properly, so I add this in order to help out. (oh and his suggestion that "any donations won't be forgotten" is no joke- no specific promises on that other than it's true. He does have some pretty popular stuff after all, and he grows it well, so "bonus material" is a fairly common thing- a fe w little pieces of Neps could be the leverage you need down the road in possible future trades) Anyways, thanks for reading (if you even got this far ) and thanks for your consideration!!

so, could I just cut the big stalk which I have in some place in between the leaves, put it in a bag, spray it with water, seal it and send it off? Will it be ok for like the 10 days of standard post to arrive to jay?

I'm in the process of cleaning up / repotting some of my older neps. I believe that my N. alata red form may have multiple growths of which I can spare one.
I'll see what's hiding in the others.
