Do you mean you want to grow this plant? See my thread below. I can't think of any reason to try it. It was sort of interesting to figure out how to grow it from seed and the flowers were sort of Ok but that was it. You can't grow it inside as the slime and smell are objectionable. It's really not worthwhile.
The only good thing is that it is hard to kill. I just stuck it into some gravel and ignored it for the summer. It kept flowering until a killer frost late in the fall. No squirrel, skunk or raccon would go near it. Also not one gnat or fly or anything ever stuck to it. I just grew it because I didn't know how loathsome it was. Kill them now and plant a sunflower or anything else. A dandelion would be a priceless orchid in comparison.
whats up, thats the stinky unkillable devil plant eh? the most interesting plant in the world stinks. if you are ever in san fran or have the luck of seein and smellin one first hand the corpse flower .this is the hardest plant ive grown. the amorphophallus titanium .other names are not suitable for are wholesome family forum. i have tons of ibecella seeds . the stink,slime and razor sharp pods that .....well ill just say i wouldnt want to fall into a patch sticky geez martin your right.thats an awesome thread.the most canivorous plant .....the spikes latch on till the animal dies then feed off the carcass to start a new crop. interesting.good thing i pulled that one out of my arm
lloyd, i even sing the little shop of horrors song when i change the water. that baby can drink a garbage can of water a day. as it is also called the corpse flower.so many wont come within ten feet of it.a cool one to start with is the voodoo lilly from nepal not as rewarding but definitely cool lookin mines about 5 feet high and has a 2.5 foot leaf structure at the base . there are also varieties that are smaller with cool colors maybe we can TC some for you ......just make some space and prepare the family for its lovely scent and your gold sticky
