APHIDS!

My new U. nelumbifolia lost a few leaves but seemed to be coming back. Then today I noticed aphids on mainly on the stolon stocks but also on the leafy parts. Interestingly enough there seemed to be dead aphids on the LFS. Maybe they don't like the plant too much? I picked them off and a few hours later picked a few more off but hardly any were there the second time. I have no idea how sensitive it is to alcohol or neem spray so I'm just going to try manual removal for now. So far nothing else seems to be infested (I hope). I wonder if they came from a milkweed plant we brought in to watch the monarch caterpillars grow up or maybe they just came from the garden which is only a few feet away via the sunroom door.

Just checked this am and no more aphids. Just a fluke, I hope.
