Nah I'm on my final year of High School(Strong math, Stupid French, Chemestry and Physics...) I just got dicouraged before I started building rockets because I was putting everyhing I had i'm my plants and well it didn't change much... Now I water them once every 4-5 days and spray them every 2-3 days and there just as happy as if I would everyday... so I realized that I had more time for other hobbies, i.e. Rockets(when there no wind so not that often), Breeding Geckos, X-Box 360(CAN"T WAIT FOR HALO3!!!) lol and Freaking School! Yeah I haven't been looking for plants much lately either since I was running out of room... Not that I have a few losses in my Greenhouses I can clear off saome of my moms over crowded windowsills!! ya i guess angiogenesis takes time nope...I can't afford to waste more money on nifty devices like that. I cannot get myself to steal some litmus paper from the lab as well. But, considering that all my CP's are on the same water. I think it should be fine . lol! yeah....AIRY as hell. lol! I guess I need to water 2 times a week now. lol! I guess now I got to figure out a orhid fert to find. Sheesh. lol! BTW...loL! the heart was still beating...but I think it will be fine as I took it out of the surrounding fat that could lead to artheosclerosis. Now the heart is in a brand new clean and clear cavity where the circulation will be top notch. Only caveat being that it will take time to remake all the blood vessels.

its confirmed: BLACK SPOT
This disease can attack leaves, stems and fruit of plants. Do not put infected plants, branches, leaves, flowers or fruit in the compost. Sanitation measures are important for controlling black spot. Begin with a thorough clean-up when there is an outbreak during the year by raking up all the diseased leaves on the ground and destroy every bit. These precautions during the Autumn will help to reduce fungi. All diseased canes should be pruned and disposed of, to help prevent a major outbreak recurring.
IDENTIFICATION Black spot is caused by a fungus. It starts with circular, feathery black spots which first develop on the upper surface of leaves. These spots are frequently surrounded by a yellow halo. All infected leaves will turn yellow and fall prematurely. Purple-red lesions may also develop on first-year canes.
CONTROL If a preventative fungicide program is used, it should start before leaves become spotted. From then until Autumn, the leaves may require additional protective sprays. Spray with COPPER OXYCHLORIDE or Mancozeb as directed on container. ---- My ceph has black spot. black spot...a yellow halo with lesions and purple-yellow coloration. PREMATURE leaf fall... = the premature pitcher death I have been experiencing. well.. I am just too tired. I dont know what else to do now. New pot + better airflow (its in the propwash of the fan) + higher light + airier medium + trich What more can I do? can any of you generous ceph growers spare me some safe fungicide that has worked for your plants? curlingguy? Jay?

That picture doesn't look all that bad to me. I'm not even sure it's fungus. I have a feeling that maybe the roots are stressed and it just needs time and a moderate environment. Wet but well drained medium, bright light but not too hot, no feeding for a while.
I think all our plants have internal fungi. Whenever I try to TC plant parts, I get some contamination after a few weeks which seems to be from inside the plant. I imagine when they are stressed the fungi can take over. But it's the stress, not the fungi that's the underlying problem. A stable, reasonable environment for a few weeks will likely bring the plant back.
Sticky: Do you have viable ceph seed? I have tried seed before with no success and I suspect it was non-viable.

thanks sticky... but that sounds too risky. I think I will stick to the advice which most of the partners here give me.. "just wait". I guess it will atleast show me how effectively I can grow a ceph and give me experience with the plant. I rather let it be....see if the condition imrpoves by the better conditions I am providing from now, rather than go chemical at it.
yeah lloyd. I guess you are right. Briar was saying the same thing as well. That now that conditions are better...it might improve. SO I guess only time will tell.

Dude, Firstly...unless I got a lot of support for even using safer's fungicide, I wouldn't have bothered. I could never try the techniques which u suggested..just becos I am a wimp with my plants. I have never and never want to use any chemical systemics on my plants. I rather let them be and give themthe best conditons I can. AND YES...this is the suggestion from nearly everyone who grows CP's. So, its not that I am ignoring you or anything. More advice, more insight is welcome....but ultimately its better going the safe route and it is worth confirming with as many experts as you can before deciding on a path.

I've had the odd little spot on the non-carnivorous leaves from time to time It makes sense to me that it IS just conditions that are responsible, as others have said. I mean, the guy you GOT the plant from doesn't have no black spot business going on, so where the heck would it have even come from?? I think Lloyd said exactly what have to say, only better, so Nuff Said

Well...I want to talk to God, but God never answers back individually. He shows his presence by giving us opportunities to change our paths. loL! (I don't go with philosophy that well. ..I rather stick to science )
